Bare Minerals Trial...

I have a very lovely friend on my uni course who is absolutely amazing at make-up! She currently works for Bare Minerals and was kind enough to give me a few free samples the other day. I've always been pretty hesitant to use Bare Minerals as it's all powder based make-up and my concern was that it wouldn't give me the full coverage I need/like to have. I'm used to using Estée Lauder double wear foundation which is a very thick liquid but literally covers everything! But i'm open to new things so I gave the samples a try...

Primer - I've never really used primer before, it's supposed to help your make-up stay on longer... So I tried it whilst we've been having this really hot weather as normally make-up in boiling conditions can lead to disaster! But it really did help the powder stay put for ages considering I was outside in the sun pretty much all day! Very impressed!

I love the cute packaging of the cleanser and moisturiser! And I also love the products too! The moisturiser was perfect for the summer weather. It had a fresh fragrance that made my skin feel so soft and healthy. The cleanser was amazing too, for the amount of make-up I wear it managed to get it all off and leave my face feeling light and fresh.

The foundation was what I had my doubts on, how was this going to do what I want when I'm used to smothering my face in a thick liquid. But I was surprised at how well it covered my skin and how easy it was to apply. The coverage wasn't to what I usually go for but I'd say for over the summer months, when you have a healthy glow and maybe don't want to wear so much make-up during the day, this is perfect.

I'm definitely impressed with this brand, I actually felt like my skin could breathe for a day and It was nice feeling slightly more natural. But I think I will stick to my heavier foundation for the fuller coverage.

pretty in peplum...

I am very much loving a lot of these peplum numbers I am finding in the stores! Its such a classy style of clothing that maybe I wouldn't normally have thought much of but in the beautiful summer shades I am very tempted to purchase a couple of Peplum pieces.... Plus they are great for hiding unwanted curvy bits!!! Here are a few I've found online that may be options for when payday arrives!

Topshop

Bargain Jewellery!

Who doesn't love a bargain? I absolutely love it when I find something for less than the original price! I was early for an appointment yesterday so I went for a browse in Miss selfridge and they had a little sale! This was £2 but when I got to the til it was £1 and I have wanted one of these foreverrrr! So I was quite pleased with myself! Massive sale lover!

H&M

It's very ignorant of me but I always seem to dismiss H&M. From time to time I will have a browse and buy the odd item but it is very rare that I do. When payday comes I am straight to Topshop and Misselfridge without a second thought for other stores on the high street. How naive of me! I have just clicked onto the H&M website and there are soooo many things that I LOVE! And at a much more affordable price than the likes of Topshop.

Here are a few of my faves...
I love this bright print dress! Obviously prints are very in right now and this dress stood out to me straight away! I think it could be pulled off on a night out but it would look perfect on holiday with pretty sandals... Definitely on the wish list!

This dress is so cute and casual. I love the tie-dye style and the summer shades. It is simple but so cute for the day time. I'm really loving garments that fall longer at the back too, they are really flattering so this may have to be a purchase option!
I've loved this colour of trousers since the moment I saw the array of coloured jeans in Topshop. I have the Topshop pink jeans which cost me around £40 but these trousers look just as amazing and are for a quater of that price. The mint shade is so fresh and summery and like the model in the images wears, I think it looks great with a simple white vest - Perfect spring/summer look.
I've wanted a colourful blazer for a while, I've ordered numerous ones in Yellow, blue, floral... but I've always sent them back for not being just what I wanted. This one I love! You can tell the fabric is light and thin which is what you want for the summer season! And the colour is my favourite!

Hurry up payday I need to get to H&M!!!

Healthy Lifestyle

After booking a holiday I have a massive motivation to get into shape! This year I have put on a few pounds and I haven't really done much about it! I've finished uni now and moved back into my parents house for the summer which I've taken as an opportunity to loose some weight! Mum buys proper food which is far more healthy than the takeaways, cereal and crisps diet that I have back at my uni house. I do try and eat well whilst I'm there but it can be difficult when I'm struggling for money and when I have no time with uni work to cook a decent meal.

This last week I have got myself into a routine which has exhausted me but I can honestly say I feel soooo much better! I'm not expecting miraculous results straight away but hopefully if I keep this up for the next 6 weeks I will feel confident about myself over summer which fingers crossed will continue into the future.

So everyday since the start of May (minus sundays) I have gotten up early, gone to the gym then swim then eaten a healthy  lunch before doing a 3 − 10:30 pm shift at work. This is a normal routine for a lot of people but oh my gosh it has completely tired me out but for once I feel motivated to loose some weight so fingers crossed for me!

I became a littleee obsessed with taking pictures of meals throughout the past couple weeks so here are a few of my favourites!
Tuna wrap with cucumber, lettuce and red onion.

Salmon with home made potatoe wedges and carrots in sweet chilli sauce. (A popular meal of mine and Chloes whilst at uni)

For snacks I've tried to keep to fruit.

If anyone has any tips for meals or diet/exercise advice then I would love to hear it.

LDN shopping trip...

My baby sister is finishing school soon (not so baby anymore) Soooo on saturday we went to London for the day to choose her prom dress! I can't say no to a shopping trip even though it was soooo difficult shopping for someone else all day instead of me!
I wore high waisted, pastel pink floaty shorts (misselfridge) and a cropped tee (Topshop) with a cropped blazer (Topshop)

This is me and my sister before we went. She is such a beautttttt!

It was a successful shopping trip! My sister got a gorgeous dress and all the accessories to go with and because my mum felt a little sorry for me she treated me to this cute bag from Topshop. Perfect for my holiday travels!

Summer timeeeeee...

So a couple of weeks ago myself and the boyfriend booked our first holiday together. So in less than 7 weeks we are off to Portugal! I seriously can't wait and it will be a nice change for the last few years of wild girls holidays that I've had. So of course now is the crucial time to start bikini shopping! Last year I spent a fortune on bikinis and there are a couple I will use again this year so I didn't want to go overboard and spent too much. I found this cute number on the newlook website and fell in love. It is completely me and only cost me £20... BARGAIN. Now I just want the holiday to hurry so I can actually wear it!

Busy Busy!

So my life for the past 2 weeks has completely revolved around uni! I had 4 deadlines which were the last of the year so I was none stop working! I have finally given them in and I am now finished for summer. BEST FEELING EVER!! Hopefully I will be able to get a few bits of work experience over the summer but I also want to enjoy it as much as possible because this is going to be my last summer holiday before its time to grow up I suppose...

Anyway it hasn't quite been all work and no play... I've managed to squeeze in a few fun things. Last saturday was my best friend, Rachael's 21st party, she is one of my oldest friends, I've known her since I was little so her 21st was definitely a big occasion! Here are a few pictures...
Me before the party... looking a little serious.

Me with the birthday girl!

Me and my No.1 bestie boy garaaaa.

It was an amazeeee night! Lots of drinking, dancing and embarrassing moments on my behalf but WHATEVER.

After my everest mountain of work was handed in the fashion girls all decided to celebrate and one of the girls is going travelling for the summer so we had a celebratory/goodbye Leah night. Starting with a meal and then ending in going out and getting stupidly horrendously drunk. (I think I deserved it after my stressfull few weeks) It was one of the best nights I'd had in ages!!! Love my fashion girlies sooo much. Here are a few pictures from the night....
